Kids invited to enter Turkey Hand Contest

The POA and Family Matters Club are teaming up to present the 2018 Turkey Hand Coloring Contest for Canyon Lake children ages 12 and younger.

The rules are simple; participating children can create a turkey using a pre-made hand outline, available at the POA office and POA website, or create their own hand outline on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of white paper. Parents are asked to please make sure that the child’s name does not appear on the front of the artwork.

The contest ends at 3 p.m. on Nov. 15. Winners will be contacted Nov. 16 and invited to the POA office to collect their prize on Nov. 19.

The Family Matters Club will give a prize for the best turkey hand drawing in each age category: 2 to 5, 6 to 9, and 10 to 12. The POA will feature all first place pictures in each age category on its media outlets.

Participants may mail or drop-off final artwork and registration forms to the POA at 31512 Railroad Canyon Rd., Canyon Lake, CA 92587. All entries must be submitted with registration form no later than 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15.
