Library’s $1 a bag book sale starts Saturday

Library visitors can purchase a bag of books for $1 during the library’s book sale Oct. 20 through Oct. 27. The sale is hosted by the Canyon Lake Friends of the Library in celebration of the 13th annual National Friends of Libraries Week.

The usual low price of $3 per bag of books will be lowered to $1 per bag during the sale. The contents of the bag will be selected by the purchaser. DVDs are not included in the bag price but will be available for purchase for 50 cents each.

All items have been donated or withdrawn from the library’s collection. The sale will be off-the-shelf using the current book sale area and adding materials as the week progresses. The selection will start with an abundance of cookbooks, paperbacks, children’s books and DVDs.

The Canyon Lake Library is located inside the City Hall building in the Towne Center. The library is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is closed Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The Canyon Lake Library is a member of the Riverside County Library System and honors cards and returns from other affiliated libraries. For more information, call 951-244-9181.
