Honor a veteran with a Field of Honor flag

Each year for Veterans Day, the Canyon Lake Veterans Day Committee honors veterans by assembling a Field of Honor by erecting 200 American flags in the Veterans Memorial Park in the Towne Center.

Residents who wish to honor a loved who served in the military may purchase a flag for $10. Each flag bears a yellow ribbon with the name of the veteran on it. The names of the veterans on the flags will be announced during the 10th annual Canyon Lake Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 10.

Flags may be purchased at City Hall and Pack, Wrap and Post in the Towne Center. The deadline is Nov. 8.

The flags will remain on display in the park until Nov 18. Purchased flags may be pick up at the park between Nov. 13 and Nov. 17. Flags left at the park will be removed Nov. 18.
