Mayor Warren attends White House conference

Canyon Lake Mayor Vicki Warren paused for a photo with The Friday Flyer during a break in last week’s Women Mayors of America Conference, an invitation-only event at the White House.

Mayor Warren toured the White House, attended a White House briefing with key administration officials and attended a breakout discussion session on key issues impacting cities and localities.

The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs serves as the primary liaison between the White House and state, county, local and tribal governments. The office focuses on building and maintaining relationships with state and local offices.

Part of this process includes welcoming the country’s state and local leaders to the White House for events, such as the one Mayor Warren attended. Next week, The Friday Flyer will feature an article on Mayor Warren’s accomplishments during her trip to Washington, D.C.
