Brothers reel in whoppers

Maverick Thomas caught a carp on the main lake that weighed almost as much as he does. The four-year-old caught a carp weighing 21.7 pounds using a fishing pole and tackle that was passed down to him by his grandfather, Bob Hargarten.

Two days later and using the same fishing pole, Maverick’s six-year-old brother Jedidiah caught a carp weighing 16.11 pounds. “Needless to say the boys only want to fish with grandpa Bob’s old fishing pole and nothing else,” said their father Daniel.
