After a short summer break, the Kids Club resumed its program on Sept. 4. The program included a reading of “If You Take a Mouse to School” and learning the color red, days of the week, number one and letter M and its sound.

On Sept. 6, the club continued working on learning letters, numbers, colors, shapes and days of the week during circle time. The kids enjoyed a fun story about “Splat the Cat” and then made a splat of their own. On Sept. 11, the club learned about honor.

The Kids Club is a program in which young children and their parents or grandparents enjoy a morning of crafts, music, exercise, games, sports and a snack for just $2 per session. Those who purchase a 10-class punch card will receive two classes free. Punch cards can be purchased in class. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Pool View Room at the lodge.

Upcoming programs include Ceramic Tile Day on Sept. 25 and Johnny Appleseed on Sept. 27. For more information, visit the club’s Facebook page.
