Library offers card sign up rewards in September


September is National Library Card Sign Up Month and the Canyon Lake Library will celebrate with rewards for new card signups. The first card is free. There are no age limits for cardholders.

The library will closed on Labor Day, Sept. 3.

Miss Ginny’s next Preschool Story Time will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, at 11:30 a.m. The free program features live music, movement and a make and take home craft. Parents may attend to help their children with the craft.

The Adult Book Club will meet on Sept. 24 at 4 p.m. The Junior Book Club, for kids in fourth through seventh grades, will meet on Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. Books for both clubs are available at the library for those interested in joining the discussion.

The Ancestry database is now available at the libraries of Riverside County. Access is free from a library computer. 

The Canyon Lake Library is located inside the City Hall building at 31516 Railroad Canyon Rd. and is open on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
