Members of the Canyon Lake Car Club cruised to Big Bear for the 29th Annual Antique Car Club’s Fun Run on Friday, Aug. 10, through Sunday, Aug. 12. The Fun Run features a car show with more than 500 cars, roadsters, classics, antiques and hot rods lining the streets of Big Bear Village. It’s one of the biggest Village events of the summer.
Three Canyon Lakers came home with trophies. Gil Losi’s 1960 Buick earned him a Top 20 trophy. Also winning a Top 20 award is Russell Smith, who spent eight years building his 1951 Ford Woodie Wagon from the ground up. The third winner is Mark Thomas. Mark’s shiny 1955 Nomad earned him a Best Chrome award.
