Travel Club enjoys brunch aboard Wild Goose

Thirty-nine members and seven guests of the Canyon Lake Travel Club enjoyed a two-hour excursion aboard John Wayne’s 136 ft. Wild Goose yacht on Aug. 4.

Members enjoyed brunch and free flowing champagne and exploring the yacht’s three decks, woodwork and paintings.

The Travel Club invites adult members of the community to join in on the club’s travel adventures. Annual club membership is $10 per person. Membership is not a requirement to participate in the club’s travel adventures; however, members do receive discounted prices on most of the club’s trips. On Sept. 13, Travel Club members and their guests will spend a day on Catalina Island. The cost is $88.00 per member and $93.00 per non-member. For reservations, contact Kathy Bacon at 951-246-9968.

The Travel Club will host its annual dinner-dance, Luau in Paradise, on Friday, Sept. 7, at the lodge. Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The cost is $45.00 per member, $50.00 per non-member. The reservation deadline is Aug. 27.
