Chicago tribute concert is nearly sold out

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild will present “Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience,” a Chicago tribute concert, on Saturday, Aug. 25. Those who plan to attend should purchase tickets now, the concert is nearly sold out.

VIP tickets are $45; General Admission tickets are $25. Tickets can be purchased from the Fine Arts Guild website at canyonlakeguild.com. General admission tickets are available at the POA.

“Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience” will feature the music of the iconic super group Chicago, and provide the full musical experience of guitar, drums and horn section provided by few other groups anywhere.

Being a former backup member of Chicago and brother to Chicago’s former lead singer gives Kenny a leg up on other Chicago tribute bands. Though they may not all be former members of Chicago, Kenny is confident that his show is the next best thing to seeing the original band in concert.

Kenny personally performed with Chicago as a vocalist on Chicago 17, Chicago’s best selling album. “I brought my brother Kenny into the group to help sing harmonies and play percussion, keyboard and drums. Unlike other tribute bands, he was actually on stage as a performing part of the original band,” said Chicago lead singer Peter Cetera.

Kenny has also recorded with Richard Marx, Kenny Rogers, Julio Iglesias, Agnethna Faltskog (of ABBA) and producer David Foster.

Chicago is one of the longest running and most successful rock groups of all time. The band had a string of chart-busting hits throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s. “Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience” will treat the audience to all-time favorites, such as “Does Anybody Know What Time It Is,” “If You Leave Me Now,” “25 or 6 to 4,” “Feeling Stronger Every Day,” “Hard Habit to Break” and many more.
