Women’s Golf to host tournament for a cause

The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club will be hosting its 19th annual Breast Cancer Tournament on Tuesday, Aug. 14. Registration is $40 per player and includes lunch. Green fees are extra for players who are not annual golf members. Signups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop.

The format will be a four-person scramble with an 8 a.m. shotgun. There will be a ladies flight and couples flight. Prizes will be awarded in each flight and for the best-decorated golf cart. All players are encouraged to wear pink.

The proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center in Temecula. Since 2000, Michelle’s Place has been a beacon of personal support, knowledge, and breast health assistance for individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. Michelle’s Place has been a vital community resource in helping clients navigate and understand the diagnostic process and keep apprised on the latest education related to breast cancer and breast health.

Many of Canyon Lake women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer have received assistance at Michelle’s Place.
