Wegs brave the heat to visit Scottsdale

Linda and Hans Weg recently spent a week in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Scottsdale Villa Mirage Resort. “We loved everything except the weather,” Hans said. “It reached 118 degrees.”

The couple enjoyed sightseeing, exploring several parks, shopping at unique stores and dining at the Rusty Spur Saloon, one of the oldest bars in Scottsdale.

The Wegs visited the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park where they explored a replica of a Colorado narrow gauge railroad, road a small train and took a spin on a 1950 carousel. They also toured the Museum and Model Railroad Building. “We have never seen so many model trains,” Hans said.

Before returning to Canyon Lake, the Wegs met up with an old high school friend in Peoria, Arizona.
