CLCT to present a crowd-pleasing production

Canyon Lake Community Theatre will present the adventures of the Peanuts gang in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown July 27 through July 29 in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.

Showtimes are July 27 at 7 p.m., July 28 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and July 29 at 3 p.m. VIP tickets are $18. General Admission tickets are $15, $12 for seniors and students and $10 for children under the age of five. Tickets are available at the POA office and by calling Canyon Lake Community Theatre at 951-821-6767.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic with the adventures of the “Peanuts” gang spanning the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day in the form of brief vignettes from Charlie’s hope of getting a Valentine, flying with the Red Baron and finding “Happiness”

This musical will feature classic songs like Snoopy’s “Suppertime,” as well as updated new scores. Attendees will hear about Sally’s new “Philosophy” and how Schroeder celebrates “Beethoven Day.”

The cast of characters will be played by the talented children and teens from Canyon Lake and surrounding communities.

Charlie Brown: Austin Back and Ryan Stetson; Lucy: Emily Garvito and Taylor Pigeon; Linus: Alex Gulati and Matt Thomas; Sally: Abigail Vecchione and Ella Gotoski; Schroeder: Dylan Siler; Snoopy: Alyssa Frederick and Emilia Pepe; Peppermint Patty: Frankie Montenegro; Marcie: Helena Devere; Patty Ann: Sierra Rupe; Freida: Zoey Carroll; Pig Pen: Luke Thomas; Violet: Emma Dore; Peggy Jean: Aaliyah Lopez; Shermie: Tanner Gray; Franklin: James Mertens; Ensemble: Ashlyn Devere, Massimo Pepe, Dylan Stewart and Tavin Vecchione.

The show is being produced by Heather Gotoski and Arlette Frederick, directed by Leslie Veccione and choreographed by Stephanie Vecchione. The vocal director is Maccena Diegelman.

Canyon Lake Community Theatre has been entertaining families and friends from Canyon Lake and surrounding communities for more than 25 years with its dinner theaters in the spring, children’s plays in the summer and large-scale musical productions in the fall.

Donations are being sought for raffle baskets, cast parties and the concession stand during the shows. Donations are tax deductible.
