Caregiver Provider under new ownership

Caregiver Provider, a licensed home care provider located in the Canyon Lake Towne Center, recently changed ownership from one Canyon Laker to another.

Opened in 2009 by Jane Lafferty, Caregiver Provider changed ownership in May when Jane decided to sell her business and retire. Taking over the reins is Jennifer Dain. Jennifer has more than 13 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has a passion for helping others, particularly seniors. “I am thankful for the opportunity to help provide care to people in our community,” Jennifer said.

Since moving to Canyon Lake from Rancho Cucamonga in 2016, Jennifer and her husband Dave have embraced all that the community has to offer. The avid wakeboarders are members of the Fine Arts Guild, Travel Club, Pickleball Club and Yacht Club where Dave serves as Commodore with Jennifer as First Mate. Jennifer is also a member of the Woman’s Club. “We met more people the first week we lived Canyon Lake than we did in the 25 years we lived in Rancho Cucamonga,” Jennifer said.

Jennifer attended Cal Poly Pomona where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in management and human resources. After college, she worked in sales and management positions in the service industry. In 2005, Jennifer went to work for a company who managed contract labor and staffing for hospitals. She was promoted to vice president of client services in 2014. Jennifer’s new position required her to manage teams throughout the United States and travel more than 50 percent of the time.

Following the passing of her father in 2011 and moving her mother into an assisted living home one year later, Jennifer became interested in alternative care options for seniors. Soon after moving to Canyon Lake, Jennifer met Jane and learned she was the owner of Caregiver Provider. Intrigued by Jane’s business, Jennifer wanted to learn more.

Through the course of their conversations, Jennifer learned that Jane was considering selling Caregiver Provider and retiring. “The opportunity came at the perfect time,” said Jennifer.

Jennifer purchased the business in May, allowing her to work close to home and continue helping others.

Caregiver Provider provides its clients with activities and daily living assistance, ranging from transportation and personal care to caring for clients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. It provides companionship, meal preparation and nursing assistant care services, whether it is your house or in a retirement home. Its staff is trained in rehabilitation, Hospice, Dementia, Alzheimers, geriatric needs and post hospitalization.

Caregiver Provider offers care for anyone requiring non-medical care, not just seniors.

They can also provide the family’s primary caregiver respite from the day to day activities of caring for an aging family member.

Caregiver Provider is currently offering 10 percent off the first week of services for Canyon Lake residents. Jennifer is looking to grow her newly acquired business through networking with hospitals and senior organizations. She is currently seeking experienced caregivers for Canyon Lake and surrounding areas.
