All invited to Family Matters Club events

The Family Matters Club invites residents to its upcoming events, beginning with its monthly Craft and Snack Day on Monday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Sunset Beach Room at the lodge. The club will be hosting its annual Sandcastle Building and Pirate Treasure Dig on Tuesday during Taco Tuesday.  The Family Matters Club tent will be set up at Sunset Beach from 5 to 7 p.m. Canyon Lakers of all ages are invited to build their best sandcastle for entry into a prize drawing. Children are invited to dig for pirate treasures and pick something from the treasure chest of goodies.

Join the club on a field trip to the Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena on Friday, July 13. All ages are welcome. The cost is $10 per person over the age of one. Save the date for the club’s 2nd annual Western Barbecue on Aug. 18 at Indian Beach. This event for residents and their guests will include a section for kids, contests, petting zoo, pony rides, dancing and vendors. Wristbands are $5 per child. The club will be pre-selling tickets for a catered barbecue lunch. Vendor spaces are available for $40 per space. For vendor information, email clfmclub@aol.com.
