Canyon Lakers win awards at Perris car show

The Canyon Lake Car Club was well represented in the winners circle at the annual Rods and Rails Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, June, 9, at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California.

Three members of the Canyon Lake Car Club received People’s Choice awards: Dave DeBoe for his custom 1937 Cabriolet, Sherman Terry for his 1935 Ford Pickup truck and John Lewis for his 1966 Jaguar XKE convertible.

The Rods and Rails Car and Motorcycle Show typically draws between 4,000 to 5,000 visitors.

The main attraction remains the same as ever — more than 200 classic hot rods, muscle cars, coupes, convertibles, touring cars, roadsters, pickups and vans.

The Orange Empire Railway Museum provides the “rails” in Rods and Rails by operating its trains, trolleys and streetcars during the show.
