Canyon Laker Corky Pigeon has been an entertainer for more than 35 years. Both Corky and his wife, Bobbie Starr Pigeon, have been involved in show business since they were young. Corky is best known for his character of Freddy on 80s sitcom Silver Spoons. Bobbie appeared on The Wonder Years, Baywatch, Camp Nowhere, The Brady Bunch Movie and Route 66.

Earlier this year, The Pigeons’ daughter, Taylor, was portrayed as the young Leslie in the movie The Amendment. She has had prominent roles in the past seven years in the various productions presented by Canyon Lake Community Theatre and will be playing Lucy in the Canyon Lake summer production of Charlie The Musical.

Corky and Bobbie are often asked by parents and others how to get themselves or their child involved in show business. The Pigeons will be working with Norris Performing Arts in Murrieta to host a Commercial Audition Workshop for kids ages six to 18 on Saturday, June 30. The workshop will cover topics such as getting started in commercials, obtaining representation and auditioning skills. The discussion will also cover proper headshots, self-confidence, image development and first impressions.

Classes will be divided into two groups: ages six to 12 and 13 to 18. Space is limited to 10 students per group. For more information, visit
