More than 20 members of the ShowCal Skiers participated in the Fiesta Day Ski Show on the main lake. Skiers entertained onlookers with a total of 14 acts, including one by 90-year-old Imre Weil and eight-year-old Liam Brady, who paired up as the youngest and oldest skiing participants.
Mike Murphy was the boat driver for this event. “A big thank you to Mike. We couldn’t do it without him,” said President Stacy Norred.
Resident photographer Mike Clary accompanied Murphy on the boat. “Mike is a big part of our events,” said Stacy. “He gets photos we would otherwise never get and provides us with memories we can put on our wall and cherish.
The club thanks the Ski Club and Wakeboard Club members for their participation and on-going support.
The ShowCal Skiers invite residents to their practices every other Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the jump lagoon on the north side of the lake. The next practice is June 10. The next show will be at the Car Show in October.
