Enjoy travel adventures with CL Travel Club

The Canyon Lake Travel Club invites adult members of the community to join in on the club’s travel adventures. On Monday, June 4, club members will travel by deluxe motor coach to the Santa Monica Pier for lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and then to the Getty Villa, Malibu.

The bus departs at 9 a.m. from the lodge and returns at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $84 per member; $89 per non-member.

On Thursday, July 12, members will travel by deluxe motor coach to experience the King Tut “Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh” exhibit at the California Science Center. The day will begin with lunch at the famous Clifton’s, followed by a visit to the IMAX Theater to see “Mysteries of Egypt.” The day will conclude with the King Tut exhibit that includes over 150 authentic artifacts from King Tut’s tomb.

The bus departs at 9:15 a.m. from the lodge and returns at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $73 per member; $78 per non-member. The reservation deadline is June 22.

On Saturday, August 4, club members will board John Wayne’s Wild Goose yacht for a two-hour cruise and champagne brunch in Newport Beach. Members will cruise the waterways while enjoying a variety of salads, chilled seafood, hand-carved meats and breakfast items, and explore the three decks of woodwork, paintings and amenities.

The bus will depart at 10 a.m. from the lodge and return at 4 p.m. The cost is $111 per member; $116 per non-member. The reservation deadline is July 13.

The club’s sock hop themed summer dinner dance will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, at 6 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.

The travel club is open to all Canyon Lake residents. Annual membership is $10 per person.
