Wakeboard Club hosts Learn to Ride Day

The Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club held its Learn to Ride Day on May 5 at the north ski area. Riders of all levels attended. With the help of sponsors, the club was able to provide boats and equipment. The final 2018 Learn to Ride Day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22. The cost is $15. For more information, visit the club’s website at canyonlakewake.com.

The club’s wakeboard tournaments are scheduled for May 12, Sept. 29 and Oct. 20. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Contests/riding begins promptly at 12 p.m. Entries will not be accepted after 12 p.m. The cost is $30 per division entered. All competitors must have a WWA membership. Prizes will be awarded for first through third places.

The Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club caters to beginners to the most advanced riders. The club promotes the sport by hosting tournaments and sponsoring Learn to Ride Day events.
