Happy Camp Ribbon Cutting to be held May 19

The POA invites residents to its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Happy Camp on Saturday, May 19, at 9 a.m. This will be a great opportunity for residents to see Happy Camp’s transformation.

Some of the most noticeable changes will be the rehabilitation and replacement of the roads and walkways and a new modern layout that adds 21 more campsites with RV hookups and easier in-and-out diagonal sites that can accommodate larger RVs. The not so noticeable but equally significant underground work that has been done includes a total electrical system upgrade, new sewer system and new water laterals.

“We’ve really brought Happy Camp into the 21st century with this remodel,” said POA General Manager Eric Kazakoff. “Happy Camp was already one of our most popular amenities, but with little attention given to it over the years the infrastructure, roads and utility services were badly deteriorated. The new diagonal campsite layout provides easier access and longer campsites which better accommodates today’s much larger RVs.”
