Community invited to Poker Run fundraiser

Street Carts of Canyon Lake invites the community to participate in its golf cart Poker Run fundraiser on Saturday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Poker cards are $10 per hand.

The Poker Run fun will begin at Sierra Park where players check in, pick up a score sheet and pick their first poker card.

From Sierra Park, players will travel at their own pace to four other checkpoints: Diamond Point Park, Roadrunner Beach, Sunset Beach and Holiday Harbor Park. Players will draw a card at each checkpoint. Each time a player draws a card, the dealer will note it on the player’s score sheet.

Once the player has visited each checkpoint, the player returns to Sierra Park to turn in their score sheet. The player with the best poker hand wins. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. There will also be an opportunity drawing.

Registration is not required. To participate, just show up at Sierra Park at 11 a.m.

Proceeds from the Poker Run will go towards the club’s philanthropic donations. For more information about the Poker Run or to sign up to be a card dealer, contact Todd Morrison at 909-437-2702.
