Roadrunners host St. Patrick’s theme meeting

With an Irish prayer given by Bonnie Carnagey to start the evening, the Canyon Lake Roadrunners Club held its March dinner meeting with a St. Patrick’s theme at the lodge.

President Jennifer Carlson outlined the next couple of trips, leaving the details to be given by the various Wagon Masters.

The planned trip for April is a return to the Pala Casino RV Resort Apr. 23 to Apr. 27. The trip has 22 sites available and there is a waiting list of hopeful Roadrunners. Planned activities will include many games of skill and luck for attending members, as well as activities available in the Pala area.

With golf courses, gem collecting, shooting ranges, zip lines, hiking trails and the many nearby casinos, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Wagon Master Carol Ruffulo and her Wranglers have planned an event for each day.

Future trips include Paso Robles in May and Zion National Park in June.

Any resident who owns an RV is welcome to join the club. Monthly dinner meetings are held on the second Tuesday at the lodge during winter months and at Roadrunner Park during the summer months. Social hour begins at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. In addition to monthly dinner meetings, the club takes six to eight trips per year.

Annual membership is $5 per person. For more information, visit the club’s website at clroadrunners.webs.com or contact Robb Smith at 951-244-3168 or robbs44090@aol.com.
