Members must present POA card to use pool

The swimming pool at the lodge reopened Mar. 10. Members must present a valid POA member card and must be in “good standing” to use the pool. Children ages 14 to 17 may be unaccompanied by an adult; however, they are required to have their own valid POA card and are allowed to bring only one guest to the pool. A Drivers License, State I.D. or another form of I.D. may be requested in order to determine age. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

New at the pool this season are two new permanent shade structures. The facility also includes dressing areas, outside showers, restroom, snacks and drinks, drinking fountain and a handicap lift.

Spring Pool Hours

Spring pool hours are as follows:

Lap swim and Water Aerobic: daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Open swim Sunday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Open swim Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Water aerobics: Monday through Friday from 8 to 9 a.m. Classes are $2 per class or $25 per month for unlimited classes.

Lessons and Water Polo

Swimming lessons and water polo begins June 18. Signups are taken at the pool office. For dates, times and cost, contact the pool office at 951-244-6841, ext 617.

Pool Rules

Proper swimwear must be worn. Cut-offs are not allowed. All babies, toddlers and incontinent adults must wear proper waterproof swim pants or briefs in the pool. The swim pants or briefs cannot disintegrate in the pool and must have waterproof containment to ensure leak-proof protection.

Members must accompany and stay with guests. Pool use is limited to six guests per property at any one time.

Direct supervision of children under the age of five is required. Toddlers and babies are not permitted to wander around the deck or sit on the edge of the pool unless accompanied by an adult.

There is a pool attendant on duty but no lifeguard. Proper supervision for inexperienced swimmers is required.

Animals are not allowed in the pool area. An exception will be made for individuals who require the assistance of a service animal.

Smoking and alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not allowed.

Unsafe behavior, such as running pushing, launching persons and shoulder games, is not allowed. Flotation devices, balls, boards, etc. are not allowed on crowded days (at pool attendants’ discretion).

Members are required to notify pool attendants immediately in the event of any incident, accident or emergency.

Members and their guests must obey Pool attendants at all times. The pool policy has been established for the safety and enjoyment of all when using the pool.
