Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) is scheduled to begin a sewer replacement project on San Joaquin Drive this month. The project will take approximately four months to complete.
The new sewer line is necessary to relocate and replace the aging infrastructure and to avoid future leaks and sewer interruptions.
The San Joaquin Drive Sewer Line Project involves:
- Abandoning the existing sewer line.
- Installing 290 linear feet of new sewer pipeline.
- Constructing 240 feet of sewer laterals.
- Adding four sewer manholes.
Detours and temporary lane restrictions on San Joaquin Drive will be necessary during construction. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“We appreciate residents’ patience with traffic delays and detours along San Joaquin Drive over the next few months as EVMWD makes necessary improvements to Canyon Lake’s sewer system,” said EVWMD Board Director Nancy Horton.
For questions about the San Joaquin Drive Sewer Replacement Project, call the construction hotline at 951-893-7116 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Calls received after normal business hours will be returned between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
EVMWD provides service to more than 144,000 water and wastewater customers in a 97-square-mile area in Western Riverside County. The District is a sub-agency of the Western Municipal Water District and a member agency of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
