FMC to host Easter Egg Hunt, Carnival

The Family Matters Club will host its community-wide Easter Carnival on Saturday, Mar. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. Activities include carnival games, crafts, vendors and visit from the Easter bunny.

All inclusive wristbands are $5 per child and include the egg hunt, photos with the Easter bunny and unlimited games, prizes, crafts, bounce house fun, face painting and temporary tattoos. Snack foods will be available for purchase at the snack bar.

The egg hunt will be divided into the following age groups:

  • Ages three and younger: 1:15 p.m.
  • Ages four to six: 1:25 p.m.
  • Ages seven to 10: 1:35 p.m.
  • Ages 11 and older: 1:45 p.m.

One parent may help their child in the three and under age group if necessary. Adults will not be allowed in the older age groups.

The Family Matters Club is starting a monthly Craft and Snack Day beginning Mar. 12. This free activity will be held on the second Monday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Sunset Beach Room at the lodge.

March’s craft will be a rainbow and pot of gold mobile. The group will make Easter photo frames on Apr. 9, bug collecting jars on May 14 and a summer mobile on June 11. The club puts on several events throughout the year to benefit the community and raise funds for philanthropic donations. Events are free or low-cost to attend.
