Car Club members enjoy Holiday Dinner-Dance

The Canyon Lake Car Club held its annual Holiday Dinner-Dance on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. The event featured dinner, dancing, live entertainment featuring the band Bodie and opportunity drawings for restaurant gift cards.

“This is the event all the guys wait all year long for because we hold a random drawing to pick the two cars that represent next year’s car show,” said Hospitality Chair Donna Lovejoy. “The cars will be featured on T-shirts and get special parking spaces at the car show.” Pete Delia’s 1934 Ford Hot Rod and Joe Dombay’s 1966 Nova were the winners.

The Canyon Lake Car Club holds monthly meetings on the first Thursday in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Anyone owning a pre-1973 vehicle is welcomed.

Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the general meeting at 6:30 p.m. At the meeting members learn about upcoming events, listen to guest speakers and share automotive experiences.

Finger foods are served and a 50/50 drawing rounds out the evening. For more information about the Car Club, visit www.canyonlakecarclub.com or email clcarclub@gmail.com.
