Santa kicks off holiday season at tree lighting

The POA teamed up with the Jr. Women’s Club to kick off the holiday season at the 36th annual Tree Lighting Festival on Sunday evening at the lodge. The community-wide event featured Santa and Mrs. Claus, bounce houses, flying elephant ride, face painting, balloon artist, holiday photo station, food vendors and entertainment performed by the Little Learners and JDI. Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment emceed the event and provided the holiday music.

Santa was escorted to the lodge by Canyon Lake Fire Station 60. With hundreds of onlookers and Mrs. Claus by his side, Santa flipped the switch to light the massive lodge tree with Mrs. Claus. After the tree lighting, Santa and Mrs. Claus posed for photos with families by the Christmas tree in the Holiday Bay Room.
