‘Concerts at the Lodge’ 2018 line up announced

Doug Schultz, producer of the POA’s Concerts at the Lodge, announced the 2018 concert line up during Rick Derringer concert at the lodge on Saturday. The Derringer concert was the final performance in the 2017 series.“The concert line up for 2018 is confirmed,” said Doug. “It’s an exciting eclectic line up of real recording artists that we all have been listening to for years.”

The first concert in the line up is a Valentine’s concert on Saturday, Feb 10, featuring smooth jazz saxophonist Warren Hill. Warren’s dynamic live show has taken him to more than 25 countries performing over 1,500 concerts.

The Canadian born Saxophonist’s CD, “Under the Influence,” is a collection of classic rock covers from the 70’s featuring hits from iconic bands such as Aerosmith, Queen and The Police. With a career now in its third decade, Warren’s solo CD’s and collaborations have topped three different charts: Pop, AC and Smooth Jazz, selling over a million copies worldwide and garnered multiple awards. His dynamic live show has brought him to over 25 countries performing over 1,500 shows. General admission tickets are $32; VIP tickets are $57

The Surf City All Stars, featuring original Beach Boy David Marks and Dean Torrence of Jan & Dean, will perform on April 21. The Surf City All Stars are the only band in the world to have played and sang lead vocals in both the Beach Boys band and the Jan & Dean band. They will be performing hits songs of the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean. General admission tickets are $42; VIP tickets are $67.

Country music artist Keith Anderson will perform June 30. Keith has had several hit songs since 2004, including “Every Time I Hear Your Name.” His sophomore CD garnered the biggest hit of his career, “I Still Miss You,” which peaked at No. 2 and another Top 25 hit, “Sunday Morning in America.” Keith’s success prompted music trades Billboard and Radio & Records to name him country music’s No. 1 New Male Artist of 2005. General admission tickets are $32; VIP tickets are $57.

New wave band Berlin, featuring Terri Nunn, returns to Canyon Lake for the final concert on Sept. 15. Berlin gained mainstream-commercial success in the early 80s with singles “The Metro” and “No More Words.” In the mid-80s, Berlin topped the charts with their single “ Take My Breath Away” from the 1986 film Top Gun. The song was a huge international hit and earned an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

This show will be a mix of Berlin’s 80s classics peppered with tracks from their latest release. General admission tickets are $32; VIP tickets are $57.
