After Lunch Bunch

With the Canyon Lake Golf Course closed for overseeding the After Lunch Bunch scheduled some away games to fill in the void. The group golfed at the Fallbrook Dos Lagos golf courses.

Last week’s game was a practice game, no official scores were kept but one member scored a “Hole-In-One.” It was Tom Scudieri’s first shot of the day and he aced the 17th hole, a three par. Congratulations to Tom for what was the 4th “ACE” of his golfing career.

Next Friday the ALB returns to their home course as it re-opens following the over-seeding. It will be “Cart Paths Only” for all golfers for a period of at least three weeks while the new grass matures.

The game for Nov. 3 will be Four Man Tin Whistle. The committee will be picking the foursomes. The course record for this game is 97, set on Dec. 9, 2015, by the team of Mark Wagoner, Roger Kielty, Ron Kelley and Jon Evans.

Nov. 3 is also the date the club returns to its winter tee times of 10 a.m. Signups will be taken in the Magnolia Room between 8:45 and 9:30 a.m. and over the phone at 951-249-4565 and 951-237-6102.

Now in its 38th year, the After Lunch Bunch offers a friendly game of golf every Friday throughout the year. The group plays an 18-hole tournament. Entries are open to all male golfers with an established handicap. The entry fee is $5 with an optional 25 maximum Skins game. Tee time is 8 a.m. with signups taken between 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club or by phone at 951- 249-4565 or 951-237-6102.
