Joe Henderson celebrates 90th birthday

Joe Henderson celebrated his 90th birthday with 50 family and friends on Saturday. The golf-themed birthday celebration was held at his home in Canyon Lake.

Neighbors Lyne and Mike Hall assisted with the celebration. “The Halls are loving neighbors. Lyne cooked all the food and Mike served as bartender,” said Vi Henderson, Joe’s wife of 68 years. “I couldn’t have done it without them.”

Among the guests were Mayor Randy Bonner and his wife Sue. “It was an honor to have them here,” said Vi.

The Hendersons moved to Canyon Lake more than 24 years ago. Joe stays active by golfing three days a week. He’s a member of the Men’s Golf Club and the After Lunch Bunch.
