Work begins on new main gate entry monuments

Work has started on the new main gate entry monuments. There will be two new monument signs, one on each side of the entrance near the corners of Railroad Canyon Rd. The design includes a lighthouse replicating the iconic lighthouse on the lake, two waterfalls and fountains on each side of the feature and lettering on the front that identifies and welcomes visitors to “Canyon Lake” followed by “A Private Community.” Both monuments will have the same design and mirror each other. This project is expected to be complete before the new year.

The Canyon Lake Board of Directors approved $227,680 plus 5% contingency for the project on Aug. 2, 2017.
