Learn to Ride Day, a community event hosted by the Wakeboard Club, was held at the north ski area on Sept. 9. Approximately 75 rides participated. The day was devoted to enlightening those who wanted to learn about wakeboarding or just wanted to improve their skills. Club members were on hand to provide training for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders in wakeboarding. With the help from sponsors, the club provided boats and equipment for the day. Volunteer photographer Mike Clary was on hand to take pictures.
The Wakeboard Club will sponsor the final Learn to Ride Day of 2017 on Oct. 14 at the north ski area. The cost is $15 per rider.
