Preschoolers celebrate fall with Miss Ginny

Youngsters in Miss Ginny’s Preschool Craft and Story Time Program at the library enjoyed a double treat last Friday. The children celebrated fall and welcomed Sarah the therapy dog. Miss Ginny and the preschoolers welcomed in fall with stories followed by dancing and paper crafts. An additional treat was the presence of Jeannie Jacks and her therapy dog Sarah. Trained service dogs are often used as an audience for children reading out. Sarah is trained to be especially gentle and patient with children. “Sarah loved the kids and loved to be petted,” said Miss Ginny.
Miss Ginny’s Preschool Craft and Story Time meets every other Friday at 11:30 a.m. This free program for children ages 3 to 5 is designed for pre-school development and includes stories, music, movement and a craft.
