For the twelfth year in a row, the lodge grounds will be the site of the annual Car Show. The show, hosted by the Canyon Lake Car Club, will take place Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Car Show is considered the second largest annual event in Canyon Lake.

The free event will feature approximately 300 pre-1977 classic and custom cars and trucks, more than 20 vendor booths, awards, music by High Energy Sounds and a 50/50 opportunity drawing. The lodge will be open for lunch and breakfast. The outside bars will be offering Car Show drink specials.

A Car Cruise around the lake (route to be determined) will take place following the awards presentation, between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Residents are invited to line the streets along the cruise route and cheer on the cars as they drive by.

A post Car Show Dinner Dance with a Sock Hop theme will take place at 6 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room. Tickets are $25 and includes appetizers, dinner, dessert and live entertainment. Pre-paid tickets are required. For tickets, contact chuckcasey@gmail.com. A few tickets may be available at the Information Booth the day of the Car Show.

Owners of pre-1977 cars and trucks are invited to participate in the Car Show. Registration is $25 and includes T-shirt, reusable goodie bag and magnetic dash plaque.
