Learn to ride a wakeboard

Learn to Ride Day is Saturday at 9 a.m. at the north ski area on Vacation Dr. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The cost is $15 per person.

The day is devoted to enlightening anyone who wants to learn about wakeboarding, wakeskating and safe boating.

Learn to Ride Day is sponsored by the Wakeboard Club; club members will be on hand to provide training for any level of rider. With the help from sponsors, the club provides boats and equipment for the day. Instruction is scheduled to end at 4 p.m.

The final Learn to Ride Day of 2017 is scheduled for Oct. 14.
