Simpsons celebrate 75 years

BJ and Jon Simpson celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on Aug. 21. Ninety-two year old BJ and 94 year old Jon are childhood sweethearts who met at Marshall High School in Los Angeles, California. The couple married on Aug. 21, 1941.

The couple has lived their entire lives in southern California, except for assignments during WW2, where they raised three children.

Jon spent more than 25 years of his career at Trade Printing Publications where he eventually became president. He now enjoys retirement.

Residents of Canyon Lake for more than 30 years, BJ, in the past, enjoyed exercise classes at the pool and John enjoyed being a member of the Car Club. They have fond memories of taking cruises to Mexico with Canyon Lake friends.

The couple still enjoys taking their boat out on the lake and spending time with family and friends.
