Audiences were treated to a world of pure imagination last weekend as Canyon Lake Community Theatre (CLCT) brought Willy Wonka Jr. to life on the stage in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. The all-kids production was directed by Ilene Moore and co-produced by Heather Gotoski and Jaimie Woodward. Costume Designer Heidi Nolan has worked alongside Ilene for a number of years and is worked diligently to ensure that the costumes for this year’s show were scrumdidiliumptious.

Those who were double cast in leading roles are:

Charlie: Ella Gotoski and Emilia Pepe; Willy Wonka: Fiona Gulati and Taylor Pigeon; Veruca: Jenna Daniel and Angy Mendez; Violet: Payton Albin and Emily Garvito; Mike Teavee: Alyssa Frederick and James Woodward; Augustus: Braedon LeGeyt and Ryan Stetson; Mrs. Gloop: Fiona Gulati and Taylor Pigeon; Candy Man: Austin Back and Alex Gulati; Phineous Trout: Dylan Barnum and Reiley Reichman; Matilda: Savannah Coleman and Aaliyah Lopez; Maddie: Katie Coleman and Madison Morgan.

CLCT would like to thank the Canyon Lake POA, Canyon Lake Lodge staff, Donna Ritchie and The Friday Flyer, moms and dads who spent countless hours helping prepare for the show and the audiences who came out to support the show.

CLCT has been offering an all-kids summer production for 17 years with the help of adult and youth volunteers. Canyon Lake Community Theatre gives children the opportunity to participate in theatre arts which are currently limited in public schools.

Beginning in August, CLCT will have a benefactor drive with the goal of replacing antiquated equipment, so that they can continue to provide quality entertainment as well as an outlet for fine arts in the community of Canyon Lake.
