Pre-printed Guest Passes

Members can request pre-printed guest passes for parties of ten or more people. For pre-printed guest passes, submit first and last names of guests, event date and member’s name, tract/lot and phone number to Member Services at least one week in advance.

Golf Cart Registration

All golf carts must be registered with the POA. The registration fee is $45; citation fee for not registering a golf cart is $100.

Stage Repairs

The POA completed repairs to the stage at Indian Beach. The stage area is now available for reservations for weddings, showers and other celebrations. To make reservations, call the Activities department at 951-244-6841, ext. 610.

Paying Citations

If you received a violation, payments may be made the following ways:

  1. Mail a check or money order made out to CLPOA to 31512 Railroad Canyon Road Canyon Lake, CA 92587.
  2. Pay in person at the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association building located at 31512 Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake with a check, money order or credit card.
  3. Pay over the phone with a credit or debit card by calling the Member Services Department at 951-244-6841 ext. 310. Have your tract-lot number and citation number (located at the top right-hand corner of the citation) ready

Marine Patrol

In addition to Community Patrol, Securitas provides Marine Patrol for Canyon Lake. Marine Patrol responsibilities include: enforcement of POA Rules and Regulations pertaining to the Lake and Marina Section, ensuring all boats on or above the water are registered with the POA, provide emergency towing and battery service and issuance of safety certificates after watercraft inspections. The following criteria are for calling Marine Patrol:

  • Enforcement of all the POA’s lake rules
  • Boat safety inspections
  • Boat distress assistance
  • Questions regarding special events on the lake

Marina Patrol summer hours are daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. To reach Marine Patrol, call 951-244-6841, ext. 415.

Boater Safety Test

A safety inspection must be obtained from Marine Patrol every other year. A safety inspection is required for all vessels that are required to be registered with the State. Prior to obtaining a safety inspection, members must pass a boater’s safety exam. The safety exam can be found online on the POA website at canyonlakepoa.com.

Board Meetings

The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association has a five-member Board of Directors who are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the Association’s business affairs.

Regular Session Board Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. Agendas are posted on the POA website four days in advance of the meeting.

Meetings are broadcast live; channel 39 for Verizon Cable subscribers, channel 29 for Spectrum Cable subscribers.

Minutes of each meeting are posted within 30 days of each Regular Session Board Meeting and presented to the Board of Directors for approval at the next Regular Session Meeting.

Committee Vacancies

There are currently open seats on the Appeals, Architectural Control, Facilities Review, Finance, Fiesta Day, Recreation, Rules and Regulations, and Security Advisory Committees.

Members who are interested should complete a committee application and turn in at the POA. Applications can be downloaded from the POA website at canyonlakepoa.com.

Member Services Hours

Member Services is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The POA office is closed on Sunday.

Guest Call-in App

The dwellingLIVE app for iOS and Android users allows members to easily manage guest lists and account information from their mobile device. To get this free app, members should search dwellingLIVE in the app store from their phone. Members will need to know their login email and password to sign up.

POA PEG Channels

The POA broadcasts Regular Session Board Meetings, regular updates and news on the City of Canyon Lake’s Public, Educational and Government (PEG) channels; channel 39 for Verizon Cable subscribers, channel 29 for Spectrum Cable subscribers.

Pool Hours

Open Swim is Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Members must present a valid POA card and be in good standing to use the pool.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Swim and water polo lessons began June 12 and run through Aug. 4.

Poolside Service

A staff member from the Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar has been appointed to specifically provide poolside food and beverage service for members and their guests at the pool. The service will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding special events and weather permitting.

The poolside menu offers an array of options including: burgers, pizzas, salads, fish tacos, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, healthy options and more.

A kid’s section is included in the menu. Refreshments such as sodas, juices, lemonade, energy drinks and chocolate milk will also be available.

Birthday Club

Sign up for the Birthday Club mailing list to receive one free entree at the Lighthouse Restaurant or Canyon Lake Country Club that may be redeemed up to 14 days prior to your birthday. Visit canyonlakelighthouse.com to sign up.

Taco Tuesdays

Taco Tuesdays began June 6 and will run through Aug. 8. This event takes place at the lodge/Sunset Beach areas every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and features food and drink specials, bounce house, music and vendor booths.

Playgrounds

The following parks and beaches have playgrounds: Diamond Point Park, Emerald Park, Holiday Harbor Park, Indian Beach Park, Outrigger Park, Rob Caveney Park, Steelhead Park and Sunset Beach.

Traffic School

The POA offers traffic school as another method to remove a citation from a member’s account. A member is eligible to attend traffic school for a moving violation once every 18 months.

Upon completion, all or a portion of the fine and violation may be removed from the member’s account. The cost is $25. Classes are held at the POA office. To register, call Hearing Services at 951-244-6841.

Fishing License

All California state fishing regulations apply when fishing in Canyon Lake. Everyone over the age of 16 must have a California state fishing license. Licenses and permits must be visible at all times; members are required to have their POA ID card in their possession.

Guest fishing permits can be purchased at the POA office at a cost of $5 per day or $20 for ten days. A complete list of fishing rules and violation fines can be found on the POA website.

Golf Pro Shop

The Golf Pro Shop at the country club features the latest in golf clubs from Ping, Mizuno, Callaway and Titleist. It also stocks Nike, EP Pro, Antigua and Foot Joy golf apparel. Canyon Lake Property Owner’s Association members receive a 20% discount on women’s and men’s apparel.

Happy Camp Gas Dock

The boat gas dock at Happy Camp is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s closed for lunch from 12 to 12:45 p.m.

Security Concerns

The POA has a security email address for residents who wish to provide feedback on Community Patrol services. The POA wants to hear from residents, whether it’s a compliment, complaint or a concern about security. The email address, security@canyonlakepoa.com, is a non-emergency, no-reply email address.

Residents are reminded that Community Patrol is to assist residents with non-emergency incidents, such as POA Rules and Regulations violations. Community Patrol can be reached at 951-244-6841, ext. 410. For matters pertaining to the law and duties regularly carried out by peace officers, call the Riverside Sheriff’s Office (RSO) non-emergency number at 951-776-1099. For emergencies, call 911.

Swimming Areas

The following parks and beaches have roped off swimming areas: Holiday Harbor Park, Roadrunner Park, Indian Beach, Moonstone Beach, Sunset Beach and Sierra Park.

Park Reservations

The POA takes reservations for the pavilion areas that are available at Holiday Harbor and Roadrunner Parks. The stage at Indian Beach may also be reserved. To make reservations, call 951-244-6841, ext. 610.

Dog Friendly Parks

East Port Dog Park, Harrelson Park, Emerald Park and Lions Park are the only parks that allow pets. All pets must remain on a leash. Dogs may be leash-less inside the fenced area at East Port Dog Park.

Movie Nights

Residents are invited to bring chairs and blankets to spread out on the slope at Holiday Harbor Park and enjoy family-friendly movie nights on Aug. 11 and 25. Movies start at dusk.

Gift Cards

The POA offers gift cards that can be used at the country club, golf course, Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar and for POA merchandise such as license plate frames. They can be purchased in any amount. The gift cards can not be used for paying citations, registration or POA dues.

Annual Assessments

The 2017/2018 fiscal year began on May 1. The total annual member assessment (POA dues) for 2017/2018 will be $2,844. Members who choose to pay monthly pay $247.00 per month ($237.00 plus $10.00 installment charge). Members who choose to have monthly assessments automatically debited from a checking account via the Automatic Payment Service (APS) pay $242 per month ($237 plus a $5.00 installment charge).

To sign up for APS, bring a voided check to the Member Services office. The APS form must be completed by the 25th of the current month in order to take effect for the following month.

Country Club Hours

The country club dining room is open Monday through Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The bar is open Sunday through Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. For reservations, call 951-244-6841, ext. 730.

Happy hour specials are offered seven-days a week from 2 to 6 .m.

Live entertainment is offered on Friday evening from 7 to 10 p.m.

Friday evening entertainment is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The lodge offers $5 appetizers and drink specials Monday through Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Lighthouse Hours

Monday to Thursday: 5 to 9 p.m.

Friday: 5 to 10 p.m.

Saturday: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday Dinner: 3 to 8 p.m.

Community Patrol can assist with the following non-emergency incidents:

  • Loud noise complaints
  • Barking dogs or loose dogs
  • Speeding and traffic sign violations
  • Vehicle accidents
  • Motorcycle riding in community
  • Golf carts violating Rules and Regulations
  • Vandalism to POA property
  • Illegal fishing

Lock Vehicles

Community Patrol reminds residents to double-check their vehicle doors and windows each evening and be sure alarm systems are activated. Records show most thefts from vehicles in Canyon Lake occur because doors were left unlocked or windows left open. They also advise residents to not leave items of value in front yards or driveways. Open cars and valuables left outside can lead to “crimes of opportunity” that can be easily prevented. If a crime is in progress, call 9-1-1 before calling Community Patrol at 951-244-6841, ext. 410.

Exercise Classes

Take advantage of the many programs and classes offered by the Association. The first class is free. Additional classes can be purchased at Member Services at the POA or at the pool office. Instructors cannot accept payment.

  • Yoga by the Lake

Dani Martin, a certified yoga instructor and 17-year resident of Canyon Lake, invites residents to connect body and mind with Yoga by the Lake. Classes are held Mondays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Sunset Beach. Cost is $35 for five classes; $60 for 10 classes. Classes take place on the sand; participants should bring a mat, towel or sheet.

  • Morning Yoga

Morning Yoga offers a gentle approach to yoga. Each class focuses on enhancing breathing and inner calm, improving balance, increasing flexibility, mobility and strengthens muscles. Instructor, Gina Kraut, is a licensed massage therapist, reflexologist and Reiki Master.

Classes are held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Sunset Beach Room at the lodge. Cost is $25 for five classes; $40 for 10 classes.

  • Funk Fitness

Funk Fitness is a fun and funky way to workout. This class is a dance workout program that blends a combination of non-complex dance moves to popular funk music from the 70s and 80s. The class is taught by Koolboy, one of the original West Coast Poplockers who has worked with many popular West Coast rappers.

Classes are held on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the Pool View Room and Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Holiday Bay Room. Cost is $35 for five classes; $70 for 11 classes.

  • Line Dancing

Line Dancing classes are held in the Holiday Bay Room. Beginner classes (no experience necessary) are held on Tuesdays from 2 to 5 p.m.; Intermediate classes (advanced experience) are held on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Cost is $20 for five classes; $40 for 11 classes.

  • Dancercise

Dancercise is a low-impact exercise class that involves stretching exercises starting with the upper body, then floor exercise and line dancing.

Classes are held on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Pool View Room at the lodge. Classes are free and for all ages.

  • Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics offers a water cardio and body sculpting workout. Learn effective and safe combinations of movements to strengthen the heart and tone the body. Simplistic choreography blended with power sculpting works the body in fun and effective ways to help achieve desired fitness goals.

Classes are held at the pool Monday through Friday at 8 and 9 a.m. Evening Aerobics classes are held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Cost is $2 per class or $25 per month unlimited. For more information, contact Pool Manager Val Grillo at 951-244-6841, ext. 618.

  • Mommy and Me

Mommy and Me is a water class that offers parents the opportunity to participate in their child’s developing swimming abilities. The class is offered either Monday through Friday at 11:45 a.m. the week of July 10 through July 14 or the week of July 24 through July 28. Cost is $35.

  • Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition

This class teaches the importance of non-processed, non-refined whole foods and how they can promote good health. Classes are set up as a four-week series.

Classes are held Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the East Port Park Activity Room. Cost is $60 for the series.
