Roadrunner Club members spend week at Golden Shores RV Resort

Twenty-four members of the Canyon Lake Roadrunners Club spent a week at Golden Shores RV Resort in Long Beach from July 17 through July 21. “We had a wonderful week at the beach where the daytime and evening temperatures were 20 to 25 degrees cooler than in Canyon Lake,” said camper Dennis Pitts. “It was a great chance to beat the heat while spending time with friends and seeing the sights of Long Beach.”

Campers enjoyed a visit to the Battle Ship Ohio and to the Aquarium of the Pacific. They also played golf, rode bikes along the coast of Long Beach, played a variety of games and enjoyed homemade snowcones. Campers dined at a variety of restaurants in the area including a pizza dinner at Domenico’s Pizza Restaurant, a restaurant rated as having one of the top pizza menues in southern California. “Campers also enjoyed visiting with numerous foreign campers who were enjoying a stay in southern California while they toured the western United States in their rented RVs,” said Dennis.
