Lions, Lioness Clubs install new officers

Members of the Canyon Lake Lions and Lioness Clubs met at the lodge in June for their annual dinner and installation of officers for 2017-2018 club year. Following dinner and salute to the American flag, Lion President Bob Hurst introduced Lion Past District Governor David Radtke. The Governor congratulated the outgoing officers of both clubs for their successful year and dedication to Lionism.

Governor David then inducted new member of the Lioness Club Bob Hurst. Joanne Riley, Karen Money and Kim Hurst were brought in as the newest members of the Lions Club. David then installed the new officers and wished them a successful year.

Lions Club officers are President Don Riley, 1st Vice George Middle, 2nd Vice Phil Coughlin, Secretary LaRue McNamara, Treasurer and Lion Tamer Joanna Spiller, Membership and Tail Twister Bob Hurst and Bulletin Editor Jack Melcher.

Lioness officers are President Nancy Coughlin, 1st Vice Barbara Weatherman, 2nd Vice Sharon Ormond, 3rd Vice Mary Craton, Secretary LaRue McNamara, Treasurer Joanna Spiller, Lioness Tamer Laverne Cann, Tail Twister Rita Wacker, Directors Ginger Harris and Ollie Birkett, Membership Linda Kamashian, Bulletin Editor Lila Gann and Immediate Past President Lois Bevins.

Both clubs will continue to raise funds to support Lion projects as well as local charities such as HOPE, Michelle’s Place and Ronald McDonald House, Mission Optometry, U,S. Vets and Honor Flight Southland.
