New business opens in Canyon Lake Towne Center

JBL Insurance Services moved into the Towne Center at the former location of Sugar Dollz clothing store. The company celebrated with a soft grand opening on June 3 with food, music and raffles. The event was well attended by members of the community and Canyon Lake City Council.

JBL Insurance is a full service insurance company that represents 150 carriers and offers DMV services throughout southwestern Riverside County.

“We want to help our clients by creating custom policies that suit their lifestyles. We will have the flavor of AAA, offering car and boat registration, title transfers and renewals, Owner Ricardo “Rich” Zerecero. “Ultimately, we want to be our clients one stop shop, offering everything AAA offers with the exception of travel.”

Rich has worked in the insurance business for more than 15 years. He gained his experience with Allstate, one of the top insurance providers in the country. Rich said as an Allstate agent he taught fellow agents underwriting guidelines and, from 2010 to 2016, he was part of Allstate’s Honor Ring and Circle of Champions. Rich’s insurance specialties are commercial, residential, gated communities, high risk homes and boats.

Rich said he stumbled upon Canyon Lake when searching along the 15 and 215 freeways for a location to open his insurance office. After evaluating the area, Rich felt there was a need for a full service insurance agency in the area.

A family man, Rich named JBL after his three sons, Jacob, Brian and Lucas. The family currently lives in Murrieta, but would like to move to Canyon Lake in the future. “We feel Canyon Lake is the best place to grow our business and retire,” said Rich.

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon-cutting for JBL Insurance Services on July 27. Rich invites the community to attend and enjoy the music, food and raffles.
