Taco Tuesdays offer more than just tacos

Taco Tuesday kicked off June 6 and is scheduled to run through August 8. The community-wide event takes place at the lodge and Sunset Beach areas between the hours of 5 to 8:30 p.m. Taco Tuesday will not be held on July 4.

In addition to tacos, each week will include vendors, a bounce house for kids and music provide by resident DJ Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment. Mike will entertain the crowd with interactive games, contests and a different music genre each week.

This year’s Taco Tuesday menu offers up more than just tacos. On the menu are two combo plates ($5.25 and $6.25) as well as a la carte items that include cheese enchiladas ($1.25), ground beef tostada salads ($5.25), meatless tostada salads ($4.25), nachos ($3), rice ($1.25), beans ($1.25) and tortilla chips ($1). Snacks are available at the snack bar located in the Sunset Beach Room.

The indoor bar offers both fountain and alcoholic drinks. Refillable Taco Tuesday logo cups with a margarita are available for $14. Refills are $5.

Due to limited parking, the POA provides a complimentary golf cart shuttle service for those who have to park farther away. The shuttle picks up and drops off on the Lighthouse/Canyon Club loop and at the lodge entry.

The main dining room at the Lighthouse Restaurant is closed during Taco Tuesday’s. The lodge lounge is open. For more information, contact the POA at 951-244-6841 or visit the Canyon Lake Taco Tuesday Facebook page.
