CLMS eighth graders visit White House

A group of eighth graders from Canyon Lake Middle School visited the White House while on a chaperoned trip to Washington D.C. and New York City from April 9 through April 13. The group was led by teacher Joe Quinn.

The group’s days were packed full of educational touring. Among the places visited were the Martin Luther King, Jr., Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jefferson, Lincoln, Korean, Vietnam and U.S. Air Force memorials. They also attended the Lion King at the Minskoff Theatre, visited the National Zoo, explored Ellis Island and strolled through Central Park.

Other highlights of the trip included touring the U.S. Capitol and the home of George Washington, visiting the National Cemetery and the Holocaust Memorial Museum and seeing the Statue of Liberty
