Car show raises $8,000 for children’s ministries

Lamb’s Fellowship held its third annual Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, May 20, to benefit children’s ministries.

The event featured more than 150 cars and motorcycles, food trucks, live music, vendors, live auction, raffles and bounce houses.

The show’s Executive Director Paul Kakis said the event raised $11,000. “After net expense, $8000 will go towards local children’s ministries,” said Paul.

Thirty awards were handed out with three of them going to Canyon Lake Car Club members Russ Smith, Jim Morrison and Joe Landin.

Russ took home the show’s top award, “Best of Show.” Jim won “Best of the Decade” and Joe, the President of the Canyon Lake Car Club, won “Best Muscle Car.”

Joe’s Hardware, Boomers Car Club of Temecula Valley, Temecula Harley Davidson, Prestige Golf Carts, Lake Chevrolet and Canyon Lake resident Steve Peace are some of local sponsors of the event.
