Saturday’s Car and Motorcycle Show offers free family fun

Lamb’s Fellowship will host its third annual Car and Motorcycle Show tomorrow, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 21901 Railroad Canyon Rd. This event is free and open to the public.

“This year’s show will have a fun, carnival like atmosphere. There will be something for everyone,” said Canyon Lake resident and Executive Show Director Paul Kakis.

There will be approximately 200 cars and motorcycles of different makes and models and five dragsters from the Southern California Junior Dragster Association on display.

Members of the Canyon Lake Car Club will be representing Canyon Lake with 20 to 30 classic cars. Lake Chevrolet, Lake Elsinore Ford and Lake Elsinore Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram will be showcasing their new cars.

There will be 50 vendors for shoppers and three free bounce houses for the kids to play in. Among the 30 raffle prizes is a $600 barbecue from Joe’s Hardware.

The rock and roll band Spiral Architects and DJ Brett Harrell from High Energy Sound will be entertaining the crowd.

Windy City Eats, Tito’s Tacos, Chick-fil-A and Kona Ice will be among the food vendors and food trucks. Show T-shirts will be for sale for $15.

Sponsors include Boomers Car Club of Temecula Valley and Canyon Lake resident Steve Peace, Temecula Harley-Davidson, Joe’s Hardware and Prestige Golf Carts, to name of few.

Those who would like to enter the Car and Motorcycle Show still have time. Day of registration is welcome. “If you can drag it down here, we’ll judge it,” said Paul. Car and motorcycle registration fees are $35. Vendor spots are sold-out.

Twenty Best of Show car awards, 10 Best of Show motorcycle awards and two overall Best of Show awards will be handed out to the winners.

Proceeds from this event will benefit children’s ministries, helping local children and families in need.
