Water Aerobics Canceled

In observance of Memorial Day, classes are canceled on May 27 and 28. Class will resume on Tuesday, May 30.

Fiesta Day Buses

The POA will offer free shuttle bus rides to and from the lodge on Fiesta Day, May 27. Three shuttle buses will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick up and drop off locations will be at East Port Park, Sierra Park, Gault Field, Blue Bird Hall and Holiday Harbor Park.

July 4 Lottery

The POA awards campsite reservations for the 4th of July through a lottery system. Lottery tickets can be picked up at Happy Camp June 10 through June 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only one lottery entry will be issued per tract and lot. The lottery will be held at Happy Camp on Saturday, June 17 at 10 a.m. Lottery ticket holders must be present to win. For more information, visit the POA website at canyonlakepoa.com.

Park Hours

Park hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Park Reservations

The POA takes reservations to the pavilion areas that are available at Holiday Harbor and Roadrunner Parks. The stage at Indian Beach may also be reserved. To make reservations, call 951-244-6841, ext. 610.

Board Meeting

The next Regular Session Board Meeting is Tuesday, June 6, in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Agendas are posted on the POA website four days in advance of the meeting. Meetings are broadcast live; channel 39 for Verizon Cable subscribers, channel 29 for Spectrum Cable subscribers.

Residents can sign up to receive text alerts from the POA by texting ALLPOA 25827.

POA PEG Channels

The POA broadcasts Regular Session Board Meetings, regular updates and news on the City of Canyon Lake’s Public, Educational and Government (PEG) channels; channel 39 for Verizon Cable subscribers, channel 29 for Spectrum Cable subscribers.

Annual Assessments

The 2017/2018 fiscal year began on May 1. The total annual member assessment (POA dues) for 2017/2018 will be $2,844. Members who choose to pay monthly pay $247.00 per month ($237.00 plus $10.00 installment charge). Members who choose to have monthly assessments automatically debited from a checking account via the Automatic Payment Service (APS) pay $242 per month ($237 plus a $5.00 installment charge).

To sign up for APS, bring a voided check to the Member Services office. The APS form must be completed by the 25th of the current month in order to take effect for the following month.

Dog Friendly Parks

East Port Dog Park, Harrelson Park, Emerald Park and Lions Park are the only parks that allow pets. All pets must remain on a leash. Dogs may be leash-less inside the fenced area at East Port Dog Park.

Roadrunner Park Restrooms

The POA is in the design phase of adding restrooms to Roadrunner Park. Plans have been submitted to Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District.

Senior Center Potlucks

Seniors are invited to a potluck at the senior center on May 28 at 5 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share.

Pool

Open Swim is daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Members must present a valid POA card and be in good standing to use the pool. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Swim and water polo lessons begin June 12. Members can register for these lessons now at the pool.

Guest Call-in App

The DwellingLIVE app for iOS and Android users allows members to easily manage guest lists and account information from their mobile device. To get this free app, members should search “DwellingLIVE” in the app store from their phone. Members will need to know their login email and password to sign up.

Pre-printed Guest Passes

Members can request pre-printed guest passes for parties of ten or more people. For pre-printed guest passes, submit first and last names of guests, event date and member’s name, tract/lot and phone number to Member Services at least one week in advance.

Fishing License

All California state fishing regulations apply when fishing in Canyon Lake. Everyone over the age of 16 must have a California state fishing license. Licenses and permits must be visible at all times; members are required to have their POA ID card in their possession. Guest fishing permits can be purchased at the POA office at a cost of $5 per day or $20 for ten days.

Taco Tuesdays

Taco Tuesdays begin June 6 and run through August 8. This event takes place at the lodge/Sunset Beach areas every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. It features food and drink specials, kid’s zone, music and vendor booths.

Movie Nights

Families are invited to bring chairs and blankets to Movie Nights at Holiday Harbor Park on June 9 and 23, July 7 and 21 and August 11 and 25. Movies shown are rated PG and start at dusk. This is a free, family-friendly event.
