Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute concert is tomorrow

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild will present its next concert, “Fortunate Son,” billed as “The number one tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty” tomorrow, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Tickets are $45 VIP Reserved; $25 General Admission. Tickets are available through the Fine Arts Guild website at canyonlakeguild.com and at the door on Saturday evening, subject to availability.

“Fortunate Son” will present continuous chart busting hits, from the swampy blues of “Born on the Bayou,” and “Green River,” to the country influences of “Bad Moon Rising” and “Centerfield,” to the rock anthems of “Proud Mary” and “Suzy Q,” to the sultry sounds of “Who’ll Stop the Rain” and “Lodi.”

Combining timeless CCR favorites as well as John Fogerty solo hits, “Fortunate Son’s” goal is to personify the spirit and grit of one of America’s favorite rock and roll bands.

The Fine Arts Guild Program Director Ron Martel said, “This show is for all ages as it unites rock, country, blues, and folk music fans together like no other act can.”

Brad Ford has starred in tribute as John Fogerty for over 20 years. The show has continued to rise in popularity. “Fortunate Son” performs across America, Canada, Europe and Asia. This show is in high demand at casinos, state and county fairs, corporate events and for U.S. troops at home and abroad.

The Fine Arts Guild President Travis Montgomery says, “We are very fortunate to have a group of this caliber play here. With such enthusiastic crowds at the Fine Arts Guild concert events, they are not only agreeable, but eager to play for our Canyon Lake audience.”

Some may have seen “Fortunate Son” featured on AXS TV’s “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.” AXS TV host and producer Katie Daryl exclaimed, “I loved seeing Fortunate Son, our Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute, because that’s my go-to band!” Bandleader Brad Ford states, “The band is committed to delivering CCR classics with the authentic sound, look and feel of John Fogerty and his band.

Tickets, information, pictures and videos to all the Fine Arts Guild events are available at canyonlakeguild.com. “Our website is informative, useful and most of all, easy to use, please check it out,” said the Fine Arts Guild Operations Director Bert Barbay.

Following tomorrow’s concert, the Fine Arts Guild will be offering the community a free summer concert at Holiday Harbor Park with Fleetwood Mac (Little Lies Band) on August 5. More information on this event will be announced soon.

Future concerts sponsored by the Fine Arts Guild include Santana (Smooth Sounds) on October 14 and The Beach Boys (Catch a Wave) on December 2. Both concerts will be held in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.
