Everyone’s a champ at Junior Golf Camp

The ever popular summer Junior Golf Camp returns to the Canyon Lake Golf Course July 10 through July 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program is for children ages 5 to 17.

Registration is $35 per golfer and includes instructions, skills test awards, prizes and a barbecue on the last day of camp.

Junior Golf Camp is hosted by the Pro Shop staff. Each day Instructors will focus on different techniques from putting and chipping to pitching and driving. Children will be divided by age and skill level.

On the final day, golfers will celebrate their camp completion with an awards ceremony and barbecue.

In addition to Golf Camp, the Canyon Lake Golf Course offers golf lessons and a golf program for young golfers. Golf lessons are $25 for a 30 minute session; $100 for five 30 minute sessions; $40 for a one hour session; $100 for three one hour sessions. Sign ups are taken at the Pro Shop.

The golf program is a level based program for children ages 5 to 17. There is testing every month to provide students with the ability to move on to a higher level.

Once the student passes all three levels they are eligible to play with the advanced group. Registration is $100; monthly fees are $60.
