Cyclists invited to Tour de Canyon Lake

The Canyon Lake Fitness and Triathlon Club invites cycling enthusiasts young and old, fast and slow, to participate in its sixth annual Tour De Canyon Lake this Sunday, April 23, at 9 a.m.

The event is free to all participants and will benefit Animal Friends of the Valleys.

The first 50 cyclists to sign up on the day of the event with a donation of IAMS or Pedigree pet food, pet supplies, or a financial donation, will receive a free Tour de Canyon Lake T-shirt.

Participants without a donation or who arrive after the first 50 participants may purchase a T-shirt for $10. Proceeds are donated to Animal Friends of the Valleys.

The Tour de Canyon Lake course is a 15-mile ride through “a little bit of paradise.” The course begins in the lodge parking lot and circles all gates and the campground. The ride ends back at the lodge.

This is not a race; this is an informal ride for all who can ride that distance at any pace. All traffic laws must be obeyed, and helmets are highly recommended for all, but required for all cyclists under 18 years of age.

There are no registration forms to fill out. To participate, just show up at the lodge before 9 a.m. For more information, visit canyonlaketriathlonclub.com.
